After a change at the end of July to their online banking Regions edited out my vendors on my supposed personal, private banking pages. Worse without notice or option put on their web site ebills.

I don't do e bills. I do paper bills. But vendors such as ATT, Verizon, Direct TV and other banks such as SunTrust and Bank Corps South. Also some merchants I noticed that Pebbles credit card also had an icon attached which with two or three clicks your full statement appears.

Regions assumed I had E bills with ATT, and when I went to pay my water bill a pop up window displayed my ATT statement. Then Regions had a bill pay reminder that contained the due date and the amount due. After two weeks of making customer service phone calls how they got our information suddenly our new refi mortgage showed up, Bank Corps South with our account number which we didn't even have yet! Bank Corps claimed they do not share your information and said that only I could have given it to Regions or Regions pulled a credit report.

Since Regions has no reason to pull a credit report and has to authorization to I accused Bank Corps South of a breach of Contract because they shared our personal and private information. Regions customer service kept saying that because Regions has a relationship with my vendors they can receive my personal information... not true! Both Regions and these particular vendors both use FISERV a global financial technology service.

So Bank Corps South literally gave our mortgage information to this company and Regions bank only had to phish our name to find our mortgage, the account number and a full and complete statement. Without our knowledge and without our permissions these particular vendors are sharing our personal mail with other banks and who knows who else. With hacking and fraud and identity theft having all my personal information and that of our mortgage available globally to any attached entity can phish for our information and get it. In two weeks not one customer service person or supervisor could explain it.

Neither could Bank Corps South. I went to a local Regions Bank and spoke to an assistant manager who with two phone calls told me about FISERV. When I called Bank Corps South and asked them about FISERV they confirmed they use the same company. I said they had no right to share our information so Regions could phish it and then obnoxiously post it to my bill pay page with an account number they shouldn't have before we did.

I went on to say that Bank Corps South never disclosed on or before we closed on the loan that they share our information with third parties, fourth parties etc... It took two weeks for me to find and discover an opt out on their privacy disclosure statement. Regions says they share only with their affiliates but do not list who those affiliates are. Suffice to say its FISERV.

Another company to watch out for is FNIS. If your bank uses either, they are sharing your information. If any of your vendors such as ATT, Verizon, Direct TV etc use either of these companies they are sharing your information with a third party. You must call these vendors and ask them to block all your information going to either of these companies.

Regions went into my PERSONAL, PRIVATE BANKING PAGE AND EDITED OUT VENDORS I HAD NOT USED IN LAST 12 MONTHS AND ALSO ADDED OUR NEW MORTGAGE WITHOUT PERMISSION OR ASKING. I deleted all the vendors from my account, but since Regions already decided to post my ATT bill I cannot purge that information. How do you like that? If you do online billing with Regions beware!

You might want to ask them how they got your information to be able to post your statements on their web site. Yes the actual statement. There are no opting in, they put you in when they made changes to bill pay at the end of July. Now you have to go to privacy page, call the number at the bottom and put in your SS number and anyone else who is on the account to opt out.

You didn't get a choice about opting in, they just immediately put you there and its up to you to discover that your information is out there and how to opt out of it. Customer service is ignorant to the use of FISERV. I don't believe it was right for Regions to edit or add information to my personal and private banking page or for them to even have that information. I hate them...

but I won't bank with Bank Corps South, or Bank of Ripley or Bank of Tennessee so now what can I do?

I have to close out all our bank accounts to purge and I'm sure I can't trust that it was purged and open new accounts because I don't have other banking choices... Credit unions also use FISERV AND FNIS.
