I had a Regions Ready Advance loan for $500 open and due on 8/12/13. On 8/9/13, I created an online transfer from my checking acct to pay the loan on the date due.

Wednesday I found my debit card declined and when looking at my account, I found that not only did I pay the loan, but Regions had taken the money from my checking acct as well, creating an overdraft of 2 debits. I was charged $36 for those two transactions. They were the only pending debits; all other transactions had cleared as per my online account

Saturday 8/9. I called customer service and explained the situation but only got one overdraft charge credited back, as I was lectured to read the fine print of the changes they've made to the Ready Advance system.

I took the $18 refund and swallowed hard. Today when looking at my account, I see Regions has now "shuffled" my checking debit transactions so to create an additional 5 overdrafts at $18 each. This is not the first time they have done this - I admit that I have bounced a few checks in the 6 years I've been with the bank, but every time, they have shuffled the debits to create additional fee taken from my account.

This time, it was obviously something they could have resolved without "stealing" over $100 out of my account. This has to stop!

Monetary Loss: $126.

Location: Gainesville, Florida

Regions bank will take your money on overdrafts even if you have the money in your account they will save up enough charges until you are over and say they where pending so they can charge you a bunch I will never use this bank again and I have been with them for over thirty years they suck

I had this happen as well, they always shuffle the deposits and debits in their favor. I have made mistakes when calculating my account or my direct deposit would go in a day late or something and they would always make the transactions go through in an order that cause me to have to pay the most possible in overdraft fees. I went today to close my account, we'll see if they actually close it.
