LOL... You knew full well you wouldn't pass muster but you tried anyway.

You thought that once they had your money they would have no choice but to give someone an account who obviously can't handle a bank account. Why else would you not have passed the screening.

Opened new account was told I would receive an incentive as a new customer with 4 months. Waited 8 months. Spoke to their solutions team multiple times they kept referring me to local branch where account was opened and who I opened it with. Well guess what the associate I opened with and the branch manager have both been fired and the bank doesn’t have an acting manager currently! It’s a bunch of bull all I am getting is the run around. Not to add the incompetence when you have to call the 1-800 Regions. If you are considering just don’t!! Save yourself the hassle!

Very angry customer

My husband and I had three accounts with Regions Bank, plus a mortgage, a car loan and a credit card. Last week they discontinued our accounts and no one will tell us why.

This has caused us a huge amount of distress and hardship. My husband is not a citizen but has a green card that has not been a problem in the past. We are planning on moving back to his country of origin in a few years so he hasn't taken the time to pursue citizenship here. We have been married for almost 20 years.

Is Regions Bank discriminating against non-citizens who are lawfully here?

Makes you wonder. Does Regions have a "zero tolerance" policy like Sessions and Trump?

I doubt it's "racism" since I'm a natural born white male citizen that just had my 15 year old checking account with $6000+ balance frozen and forcibly closed as well. No reason given, no excuse, my money is gone until they get around to sending me a cashier's check. This is just a horrible bank.

Worse service ever

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Stay away from regions bank, I have never seen worse service any were. I opened a new business account there.

I took over a hour and a half to get it done. When I ordered checks I asked about a minimal order of 150. I was told about 60 dollars, and then I asked about the 3 check page and binder. I was told it would be a little more but not sure how much .My account got debited yesterday It was 240.00 bucks for 150 checks and a cheep binder.

I Opened up the check order that took 2 week , They did not put the company name on the checks correctly only half of the company name they are useless. last night I tried to make my first mobile deposit. At 3000.00 dollars I got a banner that said I exceeded my daily limit for deposits. I then called mobile banking , held for a 1/2 hour, some one finally answered the phone and said I need to see some one at the bank.

I asked to speak to a supervisor held for another 1/2 hour ,he could not get it change , that I would have to visit the bank! I went to the bank this morning, the clerk said there is a 3000 limit does t think it can be changed but was not sure. I then went back home and logged on to mobile banking with quick books, to see if the deposit went through and got locked out.

I called mobile banking waited about 20 min spoke to someone who sent me to a recording telling me the bank is closed. Stay away from Regions Bank

Lost moneyl

I deposited $26,000 in Regions Bank on 6 July. I checked my balance on 20 July and no $26,000. In a panic and without locating my receipt I went to Regions and was treated like a confused old lady (which I am). Was told they did not have my money to get a stop payment and reissue check which I did. On returning home after calming down I found my receipt and returned to Regions. I wanted them to know there was a problem and I wanted an explanation. I could not understand the reason I was given for them holding my money for two week until I came in complaining. If something had happened to me what would have become of my money? Could an employee have pocketed it? After all, without my receipt no one else could have checked on it.

If something had happened to you then your money would have disappeared into the void. Regions doesn't care about any of us.

This is what happens when you have a multi billion dollar conglomerate. You are not a customer, you are an asset. Gone are the days of Sunburst, these people exist to milk you dry and they will never shed a tear over your trampled grave.

Only thing I can suggest is try a smaller bank. The smaller the better, credit union if possible.

Do NOT bank with Regions

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I am a long term business customer of Regions Bank. After holding and being transferred on June 13th, I was told to get my business vehicle loan payoff that I had to contact a local branch. I had to leave a message and branch manager called me back and gave me specific instructions to pay off my loan. I did exactly what was asked. Today, 6/26/18 I get a call from a collection agent with Regions telling me my account is past due. This is the account that I have been paying an additional $2800 per month on that was supposed to be paid off on 6/17/18. Apparently when I made the balance it stopped the auto draft. Now this is not my fault, however, Regions wants me to drive 50 miles round trip and go into a branch to correct their draft issues. You can't get anyone on the phone even after verification to help you and the person at the branch is always busy. My recommendation is they get their act together or they are going to lose all of their valuable customers.

Surprised

I'm going to talk to a lawyer about my long term bank asking if I hold a political affiliation to apply for a loan, and I have pictures of it. I'm not politician, but I'm pretty sure that should of NOT be a question asked to ask for a loan. I have a legal degree and do not have a lot to say, for me to leave this review I need a minimum of 100 words..... so I'm just gonna type stuff like... go to a local credit union. This bank sucks, I have had 10 k in my account and still wasn't getting a loan, I just cashed in my 15 year loyalty points, I got a 10 dollar Walmart gift card. Yippy ....................................................................................................... I'm angry about this bank doing this to me, but in this bank will go under like sun trust. You don't offer anything good, you take from everyday people and then ask in you application for a loan if you have a political party????? Does that determine if your gonna give a loan? I'm posting that *** everywhere. Loyal customer for 15 plus year, no more.

Original review Jul 20, 2018
I have been a loyal customer for 15 plus years. I tried to get my mortgage through them. I had money in savings and money in checking, well over 10 k, and a job plus child support. The most I could finance was 42 k. I went through someone else. I'm glad I did! At my pay scale and court ordered child support, at 30 percent I could afford over 120,000. They didn't help me with my home loan, and I asked for a smaller loan for a vacation, denied as well. What I found strange was political party information that was on the application.... I was denied the loan for 5,000. I will not be banking there much longer. I will also be spreading the truth about this bank/ thief. They haven't offered any services to me, but they sure take their fees every month. I will never speak anything good about this bank, and I will tell others also, I had money in my savings to back up my loan. I don't recommend this bank to anyone, go try to get a loan with them. Ridiculous. I never believed any of the negative things about this bank but now I'm gonna preach it, and give people proof. ALL THE PROOF! right in the face, a different bank!

Horrible Customer Service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I received a check from a Regions customer, and drove to the nearest branch to cash it. I didn't realize they charge a non-customer to cash a check, which I think is stupid, given that they, or any bank for that matter, can literally create money out of thin air on every deposit. Yes, I'm one of those folks who has a copy of Modern Money Mechanics !!!!!

When I made a comment about how silly it was to charge non-depositors (as opposed to the depositor) junk fees, I was given the cold shoulder treatment. Tried to speak with the branch manager, Parker, who was just as nasty as his teller was.

Branch manager Parker was very condescending and insulting when I told him he and his people needed better customer service skills, and that I would never be a depositor at the Cumming/Coal Mountain location. I've heard other complaints about Regions, but never thought I'd experience it for myself. This is why I don't like commercial banks in the first place.

What I'd like to see, is my cashing charge refunded, an apology written on letterhead, the manager fired, and all personnel forced to take customer service training for the first time. But hey, perhaps that's why I'm somebody ELSE'S customer, not yours ! Remember, the customer is always right....except maybe at your place.

Spoke at length with Aaron at their call center. He might be able to refund to the person who gave me the check, but will not refund to ME.

However, he stated he will complete the complaint report, assured me that the complaint will be passed up to their resolution department, and I should hopefully hear something soon.

I provided my name and number, and also referenced my PissedConsumer complaint file number.I made sure to tell Aaron that not only am I not happy, but that I would NEVER be a Regions account holder as long as they're in business. I also added that they should have had their junk fees posted where everybody could see them.

Paul H Wjn

Placed calls to the "customer service" number(s). Continued to get the "I'm sorry" treatment.

Those two words do nothing for me. YOU SHOULD HAVE PROVIDED BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE. Even BOA doesn't charge junk fees for their customer's checks being cashed.

Regions is not only a ripoff, but a poor example of what a bank should be.I will never again accept a check from a Regions account holder. Nor will I ever be a Regions account holder either.

Poor Customer Service

Ever tried to call Regions Customer Service? Had a problem on one of my accounts that I really needed to speak to a representative about. On Aug 13. I tried to call my local bank in Athens, Al. There are no local phone numbers are available! I call the 800 number and stayed on the phone on hold for over 30 minutes. Tried again in the afternoon, same thing. When you have a problem, you need better service than that! I really don't need that kind of service. I have been a customer of Regions Bank (First Alabama Bank, etc) more than 40+ years. In the past, I could pick up the phone and call the local bank and discuss any problem that I might have. Not so now! I am closing my accounts and going to a more locally managed bank where the service is more personal and timely. Of course, I am sure Regions could not care less!

DONT BANK WITH REGIONS

I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED IS SUCH A DISRESPECTFUL MANNER AS I HAVE TODAY WITH REGIONS BANK. I HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER FOR ALMOST 20 YEARS & THE CUSTOMR SERVICE HAS DECREASED TO THE POINT IT IS NO LONGER EXISENT WITH REGIONS. I CALLED TO PUT A FLAG ON MY ACCOUNT FOR A PURCHASE THAT WAS RETURNED AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT - THE FACE OF REGIONS - HUNG UP ON ME. I SPOKE WITH THE SECOND AGENT AND SHE HUNG UP ON ME AS WELL. WHY? BECAUSE THE FIRST CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT WAS NEAR HER & THE SECOND AGENT CONFIMED THIS. SO WHAT DOES THE SECOND AGENT DO....SHE HANGS UP ON ME AS WELL TO PROTECT HER CO-WORKER I CALLED BACK 8 TIMES SPENT OVER AN HOUR ON THE PHONE WITH NO RESULTS. I AM GOING TO CLOSE MY ACCOUNT. I SPOKE TO EVERYONE IN MY FAMILY AND THEY ARE CLOSING THEIR ACCOUNTS.

GREAT Loan Officer

Wow! It's amazing to see the post above about Kevin Massey with Regions Bank. I found Kevin Massey to be one of the BEST Mortgage loan officers I have ever worked with. I have a 15 year Real-Estate sales license. Kevin goes up and beyond the call of duty for his customers. For example, I recently had a buyer almost 80 years old and Kevin told me he would be willing to drive over 30 miles to get his application documents signed and would be willing to do it as often as needed. The buyer was not computer savvy. Kevin is so down to earth and really cares about doing a GREAT job. He easily shares his years of experience and knowledge with agents and customers. I truly believe that Kevin's game plan for his success is putting passion and caring in his work life. It is truly difficult in this day and time to find seasoned professional that extend themselves and go the extra mile to help people. I did not want the comment above to define a truly great loan officer's reputation.

Poor policy

I went in to the regions bank in centralia il and asked if i could have 2 dollars in pennies and they refused to give them to me because i didn't have an account with them. they also acted very unfriendly. any thought of having an account with them quickly vanished. you would think that they would want to attract new customers. they are not alone. the bank there before them, union planters had the same policy. they wouldn't cash in a bag of change for someone because they didn't have an account with them. i have been to various banks in our community but regions bank was the only one to act like this. i think maybe regions bank should revisit some of their policies. just sayin.

The Cumming/Coal Mountain GA location is just as poor at customer service. You might have wanted two dollars worth of pennies, but they wanted two dollars to cash a check.

All the stupid little junk fees are unwarranted, because, per Modern Money Mechanics, they literally create money out of thin air every time someone makes any deposit. They're NOT hurting for money, and that's the scam of it all !

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I am a regions customer, and I don’t get off work until 5:00 pm like most working ppl. The ATM at the Main St East Point Georgia location is NEVER working I am always having to try to go out of my way to make a deposit after hours the camp creek location ATM experiences the same problem. I wish that was just a chance that I could go to the ATM and make a deposit without going 40mins away. This is a continuous problem

Sounds substandard ; if they can't handle the little things like ATMs, I'd be concerned enough about the big things to switch banks.
